Spent Mushroom Compost

Spent Mushroom Compost (SMC) is an organic byproduct of mushroom farming, produced from composted straw, horse and poultry manure, and gypsum. Screened and fully decomposed, it improves soil structure, boosts fertility, and enhances water retention. With a neutral to slightly alkaline pH (6.3–7.5), it is perfect for vegetable patches, flower borders and general landscaping. It reduces reliance on chemical fertilisers, making it an eco-friendly choice.

Note: Not suitable for acid-loving plants like blueberries or rhododendrons.
