Rockwool FirePro Ablative Coating Liquid 5L

Rockwool FirePro Ablative Coating Liquid 5L is a water-based surface treatment designed to increase the fire resistance of Rockwool stone wool fire-stopping slabs. It forms an ablative char when exposed to heat, slowing flame spread and protecting the mineral wool core. The coating enhances fire integrity while maintaining a flexible and durable surface finish.

The coating is suitable for new installations and on-site repairs. It reinstates fire-stopping performance after cutting or modifying coated batts and provides a uniform white finish for clean detailing across wall and floor junctions. Its ready-to-use formulation allows efficient application by brush or spray, supporting fast installation on active construction sites.

It integrates easily with tested Rockwool FirePro systems and can be used around service penetrations, cable openings and building junctions where fire integrity needs reinforcement. The cured film provides a stable substrate for adhesives, sealants and compatible finishing products.

Installation Guide:

• Ensure surfaces are clean, dry and free from debris
• Apply using brush or spray in an even, continuous film
• Allow coating to dry fully before handling, bonding or sealing
• Apply additional coating to damaged or cut areas to restore protection
• Store container in a frost-free environment and keep sealed when not in use
