Rockwool FirePro | Firstop High Expansion Intumescent Sealant 310ml

Rockwool FirePro High Expansion Intumescent Sealant delivers an effective combination of fire-stopping, acoustic sealing and airtightness management in compartment walls and floors. Formulated as a water-based acrylic emulsion with graphite, it expands under fire conditions to seal voids created by combustible services and thereby prevents the spread of flames, smoke and gases between compartments.

Approved for use in both walls and floors, the sealant forms part of verified Rockwool fire-resisting systems. Once cured, it remains flexible, maintains adhesion and accommodates minor building movement without cracking. The cartridge format allows precise application in service apertures, linear gaps and around insulated or metal pipes. 

Installation Guide:

• Ensure surfaces are clean, dry and free of dirt, grease or loose material
• Apply using a standard sealant gun and tool off the bead within recommended time
• For deeper gaps, use suitable backing material to maintain correct joint geometry
• Allow the sealant to fully cure prior to exposure or finishing, as per manufacturer guidance
• Inspect installation to ensure full continuity of fire-resisting seal before closing or covering
