Rockwool Acoustic Intumescent Sealant Cartridge 310ml

Rockwool Acoustic Intumescent Sealant provides a combined fire-stopping, acoustic and airtight sealing solution for gaps and penetrations in fire-rated constructions. Formulated as a water-based, one-part acrylic intumescent compound, it is designed to expand under fire exposure, closing small gaps and restricting the passage of flames, smoke, and hot gases within compartment walls and floors.

This sealant is fully approved for use with Rockwool Ablative Coated Batt systems, ensuring reinstatement of both fire resistance and acoustic integrity where services or joints interrupt compartment lines. Once cured, it forms a durable, flexible, and crack-resistant seal capable of accommodating minor substrate movement without loss of adhesion.

Tested to deliver up to four hours of fire resistance and independently verified acoustic performance, the sealant is suitable for multi-substrate applications, including masonry, concrete, plasterboard, coated batts, and service interfaces. Its cartridge format supports accurate, clean application on site using standard sealant guns.

Installation Guide:

• Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free of debris before application
• Apply evenly using a standard sealant gun and tool the surface within working time
• Insert backing material for deep joints to maintain correct seal geometry
• Allow full curing prior to overpainting, exposure, or system testing
• Remove uncured excess using a damp cloth and clean tools with water
