Multi-Application PIR Insulation Board 2400mm x 1200mm (Celotex)

The multi-application PIR insulation board is manufactured with a rigid polyisocyanurate core and low-emissivity foil facings on both sides. It is supplied in a standard 2400 mm by 1200 mm format, providing wide coverage with minimal joints. It is designed for use in wall linings, pitched and flat roofs, and both ground and suspended floor systems.

It offers high thermal performance with a typical λ-value of 0.022 W/m·K, along with excellent compressive strength and moisture resistance. The board is lightweight, easy to handle, and simple to cut on site. Its reflective foil surface enhances energy efficiency and allows seamless integration within the building envelope.

It is suitable for domestic, commercial, and refurbishment projects that require reliable insulation across multiple applications.

Installation Guide:

• Ensure substrate is clean, dry and level before board installation
• Fix board using mechanical fixings or adhesive appropriate to substrate and build specification
• Butt edges tightly and tape foil joints if required by design to maintain continuity of insulation
• Trim boards with fine-toothed saw or utility knife for accurate fit around services and reveals
• Maintain the required thickness and coverage to meet the target U-value; minimise thermal bridging at interfaces
• Protect installed insulation from moisture ingress and external exposure until sealed

General Purpose PIR Insulation (TB, GA, XR)

These three series are made from the same high-performance PIR insulation with low-emissivity foil facings. The main difference between them lies in thickness and intended application, allowing builders to select the most suitable board for thermal performance and space requirements.

TB Series (Thermal Bridging)

• These are the thinnest boards, designed to eliminate thermal bridging or cold spots in confined or junction areas where thicker insulation cannot fit.
• Thickness range: 20 mm – 40 mm
• Applications: Ideal for insulation in walls, floors, and roofs where space is limited, or for upgrading thermal performance around edges, reveals, and structural junctions.

GA Series (General Application)

• The mid-range option designed for general-purpose use across multiple applications.
• Thickness range: 50 mm – 100 mm
• Applications: Versatile insulation for walls, floors, and roofs in both residential and commercial projects where balanced cost and performance are required.

XR Series (Extra Resistance)

• The thickest range in the series, offering maximum thermal resistance for projects demanding the highest energy-efficiency levels.
• Thickness range: 110 mm – 200 mm
• Applications: Suitable for walls, floors, and roofs where achieving low U-values and superior energy performance is a priority.
