Kingspan Kooltherm K5 External Wall Insulation Board is a premium rigid phenolic board engineered for external wall insulation systems. Faced on both sides with durable glass tissue, it offers outstanding thermal conductivity as low as 0.021 W/mK. Suitable for new build and retrofit projects, it can be applied behind traditional or lightweight polymer renders. This board maximises energy efficiency while maintaining slim wall profiles, making it ideal where space and performance are key.

Installation Guide:

• Ensure the wall surface is clean, dry, and structurally sound
• Measure and cut insulation boards using a fine-toothed saw or sharp knife
• Fix boards mechanically or with approved adhesive systems per project specification
• Stagger joints and tightly butt edges to minimise thermal bridging
• Apply reinforcing mesh and render layers as per manufacturer’s render system instructions
• Finish with decorative or protective coatings as required
