Drainage Square Hopper and Grid

Drainage Square Hopper and Grid is a surface water intake point used in domestic and commercial drainage layouts. It is designed to capture rainwater and runoff from hard surfaces such as patios, driveways, paths, and downpipe outlets.

The unit features a square hopper body that channels water into 110mm underground pipework, supporting efficient flow into surface water or foul drainage networks. Its square profile allows a neat fit within paved areas, helping maintain a flush, consistent finish.

The removable grid prevents leaves, silt, and debris from entering the drainage system, reducing the risk of blockages and improving long-term system reliability. The durable uPVC construction resists corrosion, ground conditions, and chemical exposure. This type of hopper is suitable for above-ground installation over gullies or at the start of a pipe run, providing an accessible inlet point for routine maintenance.

Installation Guide:

• Excavate to required depth and place hopper flush with finished paving level
• Connect hopper outlet directly to a 110 mm pipe or gully inlet
• Check the grid is firmly seated but removable for cleaning
• Backfill around the unit with concrete or suitable material for stability
• Remove grid periodically to clear debris buildup
